Gemma is a shark scientist, with an MRes in Marine Sciences at the University of Portsmouth. Her passion has always been elasmobranch conservation and protecting threatened local species that are often overlooked.

Gemma specialises in social science, recreational fisheries and tourism management. Alongside her work with MARECO, Gemma also works as a Consultant Researcher on a variety of inter-governmental shark research projects. Since re-locating to the Isle of Man, you will find Gemma at the beach or exploring Manx waters.
